Sheffield United made their long-awaited return to the Premier League on Saturday, ending what has been a 12-year absence from the English top-flight when they went toe-to-toe with Bournemouth.

The Blades’ 88th-minute equaliser from Billy Sharp sparked incredible scenes in the away end at the Vitality Stadium, and Chris Wilder’s side have plenty more where that came from too, having come runners-up in the Championship last season and scoring 78 goals.
Sharp’s strike was far from the prettiest goal that the Blades will ever score, with a clever set-piece routine resulting in a goal-mouth scramble as the ball bounced around off of Oli McBurnie before Sharp got the opportunity to dispatch it.
You can read the Blades’ reaction to their club post of that goal here:
Love the few seconds he took admiring the absolute carnage he caused

Absolute scenes, as good a feeling as there is

Whilst the Blades may find themselves in a relegation scrap this season, their late point against Bournemouth is an early sign of an unwillingness to give up in the top-flight.
