Sheffield United: Fans wish Ched Evans good luck following permanent transfer

After a lacklustre comeback second-spell at Sheffield United, Ched Evans has departed the club for good after a successful year out at Fleetwood last year.

The Blades confirmed on their official website that the former Wales international had departed the Premier League side for the Fisherman on a permanent deal following a season where Evans hit 18 goals in all competitions for Joey Barton’s side (per Transfermarkt).

Although his second spell with the Steel City club didn’t go to plan, fans still wished the 30-year-old striker luck in his next adventure in professional football, and Sheffield United supporters took to social media to send their best wishes to Evans following the news from the club that the attacker had left.

Here is how some Sheffield United fans reacted to the news on Twitter…

Sheffield United have been one of the Premier League’s busiest sides in the transfer market this summer, bringing in seven players so far heading into the final week of the window (per Transfermarkt).
