With the Premier League season still being on hold, we are waiting for any official clarification as to what will happen with the teams now amid recent events that have made continuing with the campaign impossible.
Of course, there are multiple options on the table and one of them could even see the whole 2019/20 declared null and void as Karren Brady has called for, which would potentially prevent Liverpool winning their long-awaited title but also causing quite a commotion with some other clubs.
Ending the season as it is would actually be seen as a deep injustice towards Sheffield United, among some other teams, as per the words of Standard’s Manchester football correspondent, James Robson.
This season has the potential to change what Sheff U are as a club if they secure Champions League football. Given the circumstances surrounding their relegation all those years ago, it would be a deep injustice

The journalist stated that given the circumstances surrounding their relegation all those years ago during the Carlos Tevez saga, coupled with their sudden rise from the Championship into the upper echelons of the Premier League, nullifying the season would be a problem for them with qualification for European football a genuine possibility.
Indeed, seeing all the good work Chris Wilder has done during the campaign, it’s difficult to disagree with Robson on this one.
It would essentially be putting a ceiling in place for a side who’ve done so much to impress this season.
Sheffield United fans, what do you think about the idea of declaring the season void? What would your preferred solution be? Let us know down in the comments below!
