Many Sheffield United fans have slammed Lys Mousset for his performance in last night’s FA Cup last-sixteen tie with Championship side Reading.
Mousset managed to achieve the lowest rating on Sofascore (6) out of all of the players that started the game, including the opposition’s, despite the Premier League side coming out on top 2-1 after extra-time to book themselves in the quarter-final draw. It was not a good night for the Frenchman, who lost seven of his eight ground duels whilst three of his four attempted dribbles were unsuccessful.
On the other hand his striking partner David McGoldrick managed to score in just the second minute as the Blades showed their intent early before being pegged back by a penalty from Reading striker George Puscas (BBC Sport).
These fans slammed Mousset on Twitter for his poor display, with one fan not bothering to spell his name correctly and so likened him to a dessert instead. It is safe to say his performance was not as appealing as a mousse judging by these fan reactions:
I can see why Mousse hasn't been starting, he has been poor tonight. I know some may love him but apart from a bit of pace at times he's not impressed me.

Mousset’s first touch has been his last all game #sufc

Lunny were really poor. Mousset's starting to worry me now. Berge had his best performance imo, not amazing, but good. Really impressed by McBurnie when he came on, and Billy Sharp scores goals. It's that simple. And finally, Osborn and Freeman were#twitterblades #sufc
