Sheffield Wednesday's season has been a miserable one to the say the very least this term.

The Owls, under manager Jos Luhukay, have put in a series of woeful performances which have seen them almost become embroiled in a relegation scrap in the Championship, and they might well be sucked in if things do not change quickly.

Wednesday have been in the playoffs in two of the last three seasons, and on paper, have a squad which looks talented enough to compete in the upper echelons of he second tier.

However, as stated, things need to change at Hillsborough and fast, and that means adding some new players of better quality and commitment, and doing so in January.

That's why we think they should look to the top flight and in particular at Wolves, who have a number of players on the fringes of the squad now they are settled into Premier League life.

With that in mind, here's TWO Wolves players we think Sheffield Wednesday should look to sign...

John Ruddy

The goalkeeping scenario at Wednesday has been something of a farce this term, with Jos Luhukay opting for young stopper Cameron Dawson ahead of Kieran Westwood.

However, it's just not working, and the Owls need to invest in a new stopper in January to stop the rot at the back.

Ruddy would be ideal. Experienced, and in need of game time, the former Norwich man is the sort of must sign player Wednesday need.

Leo Bonatini

The key man in the Wolves attack last season, Bonatini has not quite done it this term and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Wolves add another number nine in January themselves.

Bonatini therefore would be superb business for the Owls.

Proven in the Championship and someone with a bit of fight as well as goals in him, Bonatini would represent a superb piece of business for Wednesday if they could pull a move off.
