Shock decision as Man United will stick with under-fire boss

vangaal0Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern had to be stopped from sparking an all-out bar brawl this morning, as they were furious with the latest news concerning their underperforming boss.

The Mirror states that Ed Woodward will back Louis Van Gaal to continue as Manchester United manager, despite a dressing room revolt and the fans turning against the under-fire Dutchman.

United were booed off the field after a home defeat against Southampton on Saturday, with The Sun suggesting Van Gaal offered his resignation after the game but was persuaded to stay-on by Woodward.

Behind the scenes severe problems are beginning to take shape though, with Ashley Young and Marouane Fellaini both feeling Van Gaal has ruined their chances of featuring at the European Championships at the end of the season.

Dissent is rife in the dressing room as frustrations continue to grow with Van Gaal’s decision-making and tactics, with senior players also sharing the same concerns and voicing their frustrations with their manager.

Although Van Gaal’s contract lasts until 2017, our landlord believes it’s extremely unlikely the Dutch boss will see out that deal but has warned United fans they’re likely to have to put up with him until the summer.
