The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to comments made by striker, Jordan Hugill. Hugill joined the club in the January transfer window from Championship club, Preston North End, and has only made two Premier League appearances for the club off the bench back in February.
After a strong performance in their recent friendly with Dagenham and Redbridge, the marksman is hoping for a start next weekend, as posted by their official Twitter account.
The Hammers propping our bar up are suffering a horrible run of form having lost three consecutive games by a three-goal margin. A month ago, West Ham fans would have had little fears of relegation as they looked steady entering the final few months of the season. However, many punters are now backing West Ham to make the drop into the Championship as they hang just two points and one place above the drop zone.

The next game for West Ham is a huge one. They face Southampton at the London Stadium and a win for Mark Hughes’ Saints could pull them out of the bottom three at the expense of David Moyes’ West Ham. This campaign was meant to be a success for the Stratford club, they signed Stoke forward, Marko Arnautovic for a club-record fee as they looked to kick on and cement themselves as one of the Premier League’s midtable sides, aiming for a top half finish. It really hasn’t gone to plan though and the fans will be relying on Hugill to try and pull them out of trouble if he gets his chance against Southampton next weekend.
Taking that into account, here’s our local Irons’ verdict:
should be building him like spurs built kane. Accept when he starts banging goals in we will sell him and not replace him with anyone better

He makes Harry Kane look like Shakespeare when he opens his mouth.
