‘Should be sold’, ‘He’s so bad’ – Furious Chelsea fans slam star on Twitter after Arsenal draw

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern were frustrated that their side came away from The Emirates Stadium with only a point to show for their efforts last night.

The footballing world were treated to an enthralling spectacle in the Premier League yesterday evening, as Arsenal hosted Chelsea in a top-four six-pointer. The deadlock remained unbroken until the 63rd minute, but once Jack Wilshere slammed home an emphatic opener, the game truly burst into life. Wilshere’s goal was his first in the Premier League since he notched in Arsenal’s 4-1 victory over West Brom back in May of 2015.

Arsenal’s lead was short-lived though, as Eden Hazard stepped up to convert a penalty he had dubiously won in the 67th minute, before Marcos Alonso appeared to steal all three points with an instinctive finish in the 84th minute.

However, Arsenal had the last word in the thrilling midweek encounter, as they grabbed a late equaliser in injury time courtesy of an expertly placed finish from Hector Bellerin.

On balance, a draw was probably a fair result, but there is no doubt that things might have been different if Alvaro Morata had brought his shooting boots to North-London.

Morata put a glorious opportunity wide of Cech’s left-half post when he found himself through on goal in the first-half, and he later missed another one vs one situation straight after Arsenal had levelled the score at 2-2, but he bottled the opportunity to steal the headlines for Chelsea as he volleyed his effort straight at Cech.

In the aftermath of proceedings, the Chelsea fans on Twitter were absolutely furious with Morata’s inability to take his chances last night, and plenty of The Blues faithful have been calling for the Spaniard to be sold.

Here’s how the Chelsea supporters reacted to Morata’s performance on Twitter…
