‘Should be starting in the league’, ‘Awesome’ – Arsenal fans are pleased about early team news ahead of BATE game

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to the return of the Europa League on Thursday. The Gunners have enjoyed a lot of success in the competition this season, and whilst it’s clearly not a priority for Arsene Wenger, it’s likely to increase in significance the longer his side stays involved.

What the games do allow for is a bit of rotation. With the Premier League taking precedence, the Europa League has allowed a few of Arsenal’s fringe players the chance to get involved, and they’ve responded with fantastic results. This not only allows the team to progress in Europe, but it also gives Wenger a few more choices domestically, and so that can only be a good thing for the club.

Ahead of their game against BATE on Thursday, Wenger has confirmed that one of Arsenal’s fringe players is in contention to feature in the game, with Jack Wilshere the man in question. Clearly a supremely talented figure, Wilshere has found life tough at Arsenal this season, and he is yet to become a regutwitter arsenal lar starter.

The Europa League, though, gives him a platform to prove Wenger wrong in his decision to leave him on the bench domestically, and this is something that appears to be exciting the Arsenal fans over on Twitter. Announcing the news on the official Arsenal Twitter page, fans have come out to defend the Englishman, with many calling for him to be involved far more regularly, whilst others are just excited to see him play.
