‘Should not play’, ‘Can sit that one out’ – Chelsea fans are hoping that Conte won’t start one player against Arsenal

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for their side to bag a win against Arsenal on Wednesday evening. The Blues are facing a big test to have any chance of securing glory in the Premier League this term, and so the prospect of winning the Carabao Cup is a far more likely and realistic goal for Antonio Conte.

Indeed, just one game is now separating the Blues from a final at Wembley, and so there is a real sense of optimism amongst our resident Blues.

Ahead of the game, Antonio Conte has provided Chelsea fans with an update on the fitness of several players. According to Nizaar Kinsella of Goal, the trio of Gary Cahill, Danny Drinkwater and Thibaut Courtois have all not yet been ruled out of the game – with Conte set to make a decision on their status closer to kick-off.

Though not exactly great news for Chelsea, the fact that they are yet to be ruled out is, at least, a slight boost for the Blues. However, the Chelsea fans over on Twitter aren’t taking it that way. Instead, they’re seemingly very concerned that Gary Cahill could start the game – and this isn’t what they want to see.

Indeed, Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to urge Antonio Conte and the Blues not to start with their English centre-half, with Cahill clearly not too popular amongst Chelsea circles.

Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
