‘Shouldn’t have left in the first place’ – Liverpool fans on Twitter react to potential return idea

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to a rumour from Empire of the Kop (who cite various accounts on Twitter), that claims Zeljko Buvac has made up with Jurgen Klopp after he left Anfield on gardening leave days before their crucial second-leg tie against Roma in the Champions League. Now though, it looks like the Bosnian could be set to return despite fans fearing the worst over him leaving the club.

Liverpool have got two huge games on the horizon. The club have Brighton and Hove Albion on the final day of the Premier League season this weekend with only a point being enough for them to secure Champions League football owing to Chelsea’s lacking goal difference. After Brighton, Klopp and co can start looking ahead to their huge Champions League clash against Real Madrid in Kiev on the 26th May with just Zinedine Zidane’s side standing between Liverpool and their first Champions League trophy since 2005.

Having Buvac back will be a huge boost for the Reds. Klopp’s number two has worked with him for 17 years since his initial days at Mainz, and with the nickname The Brain, it’s easy to see why the club were scared over Buvac’s future. This season’s Champions League has been mostly smooth sailing for Liverpool. The club lost their first game in the tournament at the Stadio Olimpico although Roma were unable to overturn the 5-2 scoreline from Anfield. Now the fans will be hoping they can keep their losses in the tournament to just one as they prepare for Real Madrid in just 16 days time.
