‘Sign him up’, ‘Too good for West Ham’ – Fans on Twitter discuss fate of 25-year-old star

The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing Joao Mario after he continued to impress in claret and blue for the Hammers as they beat Leicester 2-0 at the King Power Stadium. The Inter Milan loanee opened the scoring on Saturday before Mark Noble’s wonder goal secured all the points for the Hammers.

West Ham United have had an up and down season this campaign. The Hammers started the season abysmally and Slaven Bilic was sacked, leading to the appointment of David Moyes, who brought in the Portuguese ace, Joao Mario in on-loan from Inter just a couple of months after the Scot was appointed. The Irons have secured Premier League survival this year and will be hoping they can keep Mario after the summer window as they hope to kick on.

West Ham now have two more games left against Manchester United and Everton and the fans can sit back and enjoy the football as they renew their season tickets and prepare for another season in the top flight. A lot of the club’s good fortunes can be put down to the goals and form of Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez, who, coupled with Joao Mario, have been threatening in attack and capable of ripping up any defence on their day.
