Tottenham fans were likely delighted earlier this week when Dele Alli agreed fresh terms at the club, with the Englishman now tied down until 2024.
It’s great news for the club, but as we recently pointed out, the job of tieing down Tottenham’s key players is not yet done. Indeed, We recently made the that ensuring that Christian Eriksen remains at the club is an even bigger and more important task, with the Dane arguably even more important to this team than Dele Alli.
Eriksen plays such a crucial role for Spurs going forward. Typically operating on the left-hand side of the attack, he’s a real pass-master, offering fantastic creativity and vision for a team that relies heavily on his skillset.
It seems as though Tottenham fans aren’t too worried about losing him, though, at least according to a recent poll.
We recently asked fans whether they expect to see Eriksen sign a new deal, and in response, a whopping 90% of those polled have revealed that they are confident that he’ll agree fresh terms at the club.
Obviously, it would be huge news were this to happen, and, indeed, reports over the last few days have indicated that it is on the cards.
If Tottenham can tie him down to a long-term deal, Mauricio Pochettino will be able to rest easy knowing that his star attack – made up of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli – are all locked-down long-term.
