‘Sign him up’ – Aston Villa fans on Twitter eager for club to secure winger agreement

The Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to a Twitter post from their club’s official account. The post contains a GIF of Robert Snodgrass in training and it has prompted our local Villains to call for Steve Bruce to get the transfer of Snodgrass over the line in the coming months.

Robert Snodgrass has been one of Steve Bruce’s key players as the club have had a fantastic season in the Championship, securing a playoff place at the second time of asking after a disappointing season last year. The club have aspirations of returning to the Premier League after they were relegated back in 2016 after a dismal season saw them finish dead bottom with just 17 points.

The club has reformed since that dreadful season and the fans believe that if they were to win the playoffs and return to the Premier League that they have enough in the tank to stay there. The club will need to sign reinforcements for next season and there’s no better place to start than Snodgrass, the Scottish winger is on-loan from West Ham and it is likely that he’ll be on the move permanently when the window opens, with Villa being the perfect destination.
