‘Sign him up’, ‘News I want to hear’ – Man United fans on Twitter beg for Mourinho to make January signing

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping to catch their local-rivals in the second half of the season, despite their 11 point deficit after 18 fixtures.

The Red Devils propping up the bar in the tavern have become frustrated by their side’s inability to keep pace with league-leaders Manchester City this season. Although none of the punters clad in red and white are ready to admit defeat just yet, they know that it would take a spectacular decline from City to allow them back into the title race.

However, the January transfer window could prove to be a turning point in the season if United are able to secure a number of quality acquisitions and City make a slip-up or two along the way.

And according to reports in The Sun, Jose Mourinho is lining up a move for Borussia Dortmund’s American wonderkid Christian Pulisic – a player who is beginning to attract interest from plenty of Europe’s heavyweights.

At just 19-years-of-age, Pulisic is clearly destined for a massive future in European football.

The midfielder can play in a wide or central role across an attacking-midfield three, and he has already been capped 20 times by the United States national side, scoring 9 goals in the process.

Understandably, the fact that both Mhkitaryan and Kagawa struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford after moving from Dortmund has left a handful of United supporters feeling sceptical about a move for Pulisic.

However, plenty of Red Devils on Twitter have called for Mourinho to ignore the sceptics and bring Pulisic to Manchester before their European rivals make a decisive move for his signature.
