West Ham United are still looking for their first win under new manager David Moyes, but they can draw some encouragement from their showing at Man City, where they were narrowly beaten by Pep Guardiola’s men.
The Hammers have had a nightmare start though by all accounts, and despite Moyes’s appointment, there’s still plenty of work to be done if the London club are to avoid the dreaded drop down into the Championship once again.
Our landlord here at the Tavern has been having a good old chat with the Hammers fans this week over by the bar, and there’s a big consensus among them that the club need to act in January and add some major signings to their ranks to prevent relegation.
One player who has been cropping up a lot in conversation is Ajax starlet Kasper Dolberg, who has been nothing short of a revelation over the last few seasons, as the impressive young forward has fired in the goals and seen his reputation grow on a weekly basis for the Dutch giants.
Dolberg looks to have a massive career ahead of him, and with the Hammers looking for more goals following Javier Hernandez’s failed move so far, the youngster could be the ideal sort of signing to give the Premier League a much needed boost.
A quality young player, the Hammers would no doubt have to beat a whole host of Europe’s top clubs to his signature, but he’d be an excellent signing nonetheless.
Hammers fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
