Strangely, even a club of Liverpool’s size has been somewhat cast into the shadows of their North West neighbours.
With both Manchester United and Manchester City splashing the cash (and then some) this summer, even the Reds’ overhaul under Jurgen Klopp has slipped relatively under the radar.
While suggesting there is an inferiority complex amongst the Reds would be too far, it is fair to say the Merseyside neighbours are not looked upon with the same awe as their neighbours.
In the current climate at least.
Well, even one of the club’s sponsors has seemingly taken a dig at the club.

They recently announced that @HollerFC would become their official timing partner for the season, only to have the company seemingly take a swipe of them.
As sourced by the Metro, a tweet emerged from Holler’s page that appeared to poke fun at Liverpool’s failure to win a league title since 1990.
The tweet has now been deleted, though it’s unlikely to keep the Liverpool fans happy.
Who needs a watch sponsor anyway?!
