Significant funds reported for Pulis as double swoop is eyed

According to The Telegraph, West Brom manager Tony Pulis could be handed at least £20 million to spend in the January transfer window when it opens in under a month.

The news has excited our local Baggies fans here in the Transfer Tavern who cannot believe the way the club has been playing recently, nor the way the table is currently looking in the Premier League.

The Midlands side are currently seventh in the league standings and are just a point behind Manchester United having played some of the best football The Hawthorns has seen in a long time.

They were winning again at the weekend as they comfortably beat Watford 3-1 at home and now, as they are around the European spots, Tony Pulis looks set to be given a decent amount of money to try and deliver a remarkable season.

According to the report, Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez are both on his wish list for the transfer window with neither player being a regular for either Manchester United or Southampton respectively.

The Baggies travel to league leaders Chelsea next weekend in what could be their biggest test so far of the season but our landlord reckons they’ll be confident of getting at least a point at Stamford Bridge.
