Signing of the summer: Landing £67.5m-rated star would be Liverpool’s biggest deal in years

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are still hoping that Jurgen Klopp will be able to sign a new central attacking midfielder this summer. The Reds are yet to replace Philippe Coutinho, and given his quality, it’s going to take a big name to come in and play in his place.

Fortunately, Liverpool would find the perfect option in Spanish ace Isco, who is rated at £67.5 million by Transfer Markt.

Isco, who is currently on international duty with Spain, has emerged over the last few years as one of Europe’s most technically gifted players. He’s silky smooth on the ball, and he’s able to move past opposition defenders as if they aren’t even there.

That’s something that Liverpool lack at the moment. In both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, they have players that are excellent at running and driving at defences, but Isco takes more of a tactical approach. He’s more measured, and that would give Liverpool’s attack a new facet from which to build.

Like Coutinho, he’s also excellent from set-pieces, and he’d be the perfect player to pull the strings from deep at Anfield.

With 7 goals and 7 assists last season, the Spaniard is really coming into his own as a member of the Real Madrid attack, and if he were to move to Anfield, it’s tough to argue that the Reds wouldn’t have one of Europe’s deadliest attacks.

Indeed, Isco would immediately come in and be the focal point of this team, and he’s a player that the Reds can’t afford to lose out on.
