Signing this Premier League winger could make all the difference for Leeds United this January

Leeds United looked to be heading in the right direction at the beginning of this season under new manager Thomas Christiansen, but since then things have not quite gone to plan at Elland Road.

A miserable run of results compounded by a heavy midweek defeat at league leaders Wolves has done nothing to give Leeds fans any belief that they can turn things around any time soon, and for many, January cannot come soon enough for the Whites.

Here in the Tavern, our landlord is looking forward to seeing how Leeds do in January, and he thinks the club could well go out and make a few big splashes in the market as they chase their Premier League return.

One Premier League performer who our gaffer thinks could do an excellent job at Elland Road is Brighton winger, Jamie Murphy.

Murphy is a proven player in the Championship following his spell with Sheffield United, and despite not playing this season, he also proved last year for Brighton that he can be a crucial player if given a big run of games.

Murphy will no doubt have a point to prove to manager Chris Hughton, who signed a host of new players in the summer which have hindered Murphy’s progress, and that drive and desire could be something which gives Leeds a much needed boost over the winter period.

Leeds fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
