With Arsenal putting together a decent effort of things this season following another turbulent summer of transfer rumours, the Gunners will be hopeful of regaining their Champions League spot after missing out last term.
The club are without a Premier League title in over 15 years now, and the club have struggled to get near winning Championship since the days of the likes of Patrick Vieira, Robert Pires, and in particular, Gunners legend and French strike ace Thierry Henry.
The legendary record scorer for the Gunners was one of the Premier League’s finest ever imports, and will surely go down in history as one of the all time greats following his feats at Highbury then later the Emirates.
Our landlord here in the Tavern thinks that it’s about time the club looked for a genuine figure to replace Henry, and one man he thinks could come into the club and at least attempt replicate Henry is current Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon striker has developed into one of the finest forwards in Europe over the last few years, and despite a host of big clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona being known admirers of the pacey forward, the Gunners could well beat them all to it.
Aubameyang would most definitely become the main man for Arsenal if he was to sign, and with the futures of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil still up in the air, he’s exactly the sort of signing the club could do with making to soften any potential blow.
A quality forward, the Dortmund man would be a superb addition at the Emirates.
Gunners fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
