During the summer, Everton brought in the Brazilian duo of Richarlison and Bernard with the former impressing so far this season in particular.

In nine Premier League games, Richarlison has found the back of the net on six occasions, which is more than he managed throughout the entire of the last campaign with former club Watford.

And the 21-year-old could now be joined by another Brazil international at Goodison Park once the transfer window opens in January.

The Breakdown

According to Goal Brasil (via Sport Witness), Gabriel Barbosa is hoping for a Premier League move when his loan at Santos finishes with Everton just one team from English football's top flight said to be interested in the striker.

Barbosa returned to Santos for the 2018 Primeira Liga season following disappointing spells at Benfica and current parent club Inter Milan.

Nevertheless, should Everton be able to get the 22-year-old through the door, he could prove to be a really clever bit of business done by the club.

Manager Marco Silva is clearly not convinced with Cenk Tosun, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Oumar Niasse -- the team's current crop of natural No.9s -- making the signing of a new centre-forward in the near future probably a necessity for the Portuguese coach. And Barbosa is one who could bring much to the side.

Barbosa has the pace to run in behind defenders but also the technical ability to dribble past them. He can create his own chances, too, while he is also extremely versatile in attack.

As well as up front, Barbosa can be deployed as a second striker or on the right where he is able to cut in from with his left foot before firing a shot towards goal.

With that in mind, Barbosa may just be the man to help solve Silva's striker conundrum.
