Everton will be looking to build on their impressive 5-1 win over Burnley when they travel to Brighton on Saturday for their next Premier League fixture.

Cenk Tosun, however, could again be left out of the squad with Marco Silva not confirming whether the Turkey international will be brought back from the cold following his exclusion from the Burnley victory, though the Portuguese coach remains adamant that the striker still has a future at Goodison Park.

The Breakdown

"Yes, why not?," Silva told the Liverpool Echo when asked if Tosun still has a part to play at Everton. "It was not just Cenk who was left out of the squad. James McCarthy was also left out. It was not just him.

"I decided to go with Niasse on Wednesday and we will see what I do tomorrow. Morgan Schneiderlin has also been left out of squads as well. We have 27 players and we have to decide. We can only have 18 in the squad list and have to make a decision."

Despite Silva's words, it is hard to see how Tosun can turnaround his Everton career based on how things have gone down in recent weeks.

Not only has Tosun fallen behind Richarlison in the centre-forward pecking order, but it also now appears that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is above the 27-year-old having led the line for the Toffees in their last few fixtures.

With all of that in mind, unless something drastic happens, Tosun's time at Goodison Park looks all but over.
