Everton will be desperate to build on their current league position, having defied expectations under Marco Silva so far this season.
The Toffees have managed to hold their own against a number of the the big guns in the current campaign, so it’s exciting times for supporters at Goodison Park.
But, things haven’t always been perfect as a number of first-team members have failed to live up to expectations so far this season, so Silva could definitely do with trading a couple of players in for cash.
With that in mind, Silva must already be thinking about shipping this underperforming DUO out …
Everton secured the services of Cenk Tosun for £27 million back in January of this year, but he has struggled to find the back of the net on a regular basis and is now having to settle for a place on the substitutes’ bench.
Indeed, the Toffees are having to deploy Richarlison in an unfamiliar position at the pinnacle of the attack at this moment in time, so they could definitely do with bringing in a striker.
Therefore, the Merseyside club simply cannot put up with Tosun’s inconsistencies any more, with the January transfer window just around the corner.
Morgan Schneiderlin played a big part for the Toffees in the last campaign but he just hasn’t been able to ensure any kind of consistency in the side this season, which has seen him only make eight appearances in all competitions.
Indeed, the arrival of Andre Gomes has put his immediate future in doubt as the Portuguese midfielder has been influential so far this season, with Idrissa Gueye nailing down a starting place alongside him.
Therefore, with the middle of midfield already overflowing with players, the Frenchman hasn’t done enough to warrant a future at Goodison Park.
