Everton haven’t been able to ensure consistency in the Premier League recently as they’ve lost three of their last four games, so they’ll be desperate to build some momentum.
The Toffees managed to get the better of Lincoln City at Goodison Park in the last round of the FA Cup, but they’ll need to be at their best if they are to overcome the challenges of their next opponents.
Indeed, Everton will travel to the Den to face Championship side Millwall in the fourth round of the FA Cup later on today. The Lions have only lost one of their last five league fixtures, so they’ll provide a tough test for Silva’s men.
Of course, Ademola Lookman may have found the back of the net against the Imps in the last round, but Silva should provide these TWO Everton starlets will the opportunity to make a name for themselves at the Den today…
Fraser Hornby is arguably one of the most promising youngsters in the Toffees’ youth set-up at this moment in time.
The Scotsman has only found the back of the net on one occasion in the current campaign, but he scored six goals and provided four assists last season, and he has netted six goals in seven appearances for Scotland’s Under-21 side.
Silva decided to put out a rather strong side against Lincoln City in the last round, so he should rest some of his stars by gifting the youngster a starting place at the pinnacle of the attack later on today.
Anthony Evans is another player who will have a huge part to play in the future of the club. But, he just hasn’t been able to work his way into the first-team ranks in the current campaign, despite scoring three goals and provide one assist in the Premier League 2 so far.
Although, with Millwall coming up later on today, perhaps Silva should deploy the youngster in behind the striker as he already has the ability to make a name for himself in the first-team ranks.
