Liverpool will be looking to challenge for the Premier League title and Champions League glory after missing out in the final last season.
The Reds enjoyed a rather successful summer transfer window as they drafted in a number of quality players that will all have a positive impact on their campaign. However, it appears as if one of the club’s wasted talents is looking to move away, as according to Sun Sport, Simon Mignolet is patiently waiting for an offer from Napoli.
Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is patiently waiting for an offer from Napoli, according to his agent Nico Vaesen.
Jurgen Klopp has slapped a £12 million price-tag on his reserve keeper, and now, his agent Vaesen has told a Naples radio station he is anticipating an offer for his client from Napoli.
“Mignolet likes Napoli and the interest is not new. Napoli have enquired about the player on several occasions now in previous transfer windows.
“There’s no confirmation of a move to Napoli, though, and we’ll have to wait to see if in the next few days they make an offer.
“Considering the market will close in a few days, I imagine they’ll have to make a move soon if we want to continue the talks so that everyone can reach an agreement.”
So, it looks as if Simon Mignolet is anticipating an offer from European giants Napoli as the goalkeeper is surplus to requirements at Anfield.
The Belgian is now third in the pecking order and is heading for an exit after struggling to ensure consistency during his time on Merseyside.
Indeed, receiving a sum of money for the goalkeeper will be huge for the Reds as they’re looking to raise funds after splashing the cash this summer.
