We are all hoping that football will return sooner rather than later and that we can still continue the 2019/20 season once the dust settles and life goes back to normal.
But at this point, that is only wishful thinking and we still have no idea of how long we’ll have to endure the effects of the recent outbreak and when exactly this is all going to be behind us.
Either way, it might be some time before we see Manchester United, Liverpool or Manchester City back in action and there is also still a possibility that next time we actually do see them, it will be in 2020/21.
According to some recent reports, some of the lower leagues have asked for the current campaign to be made null and the season cancelled altogether.
But Simon Stone posed a crucial question amidst those new developments – what happens to the upper leagues if the lower ones start being declared void?
Do they follow their example or can they continue regardless?
This is interesting. If leagues are voided lower down the pyramid what happens further up? https://t.co/YYvUiqVYYG
