It’s been a slow start to the season for Everton but signs prior to the international break suggested Roberto Martinez and his side were starting to find something approaching their best form.
Unbeaten since the 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford on October 5th, the Toffees currently sit 10th in the Premier League with 14 points from their opening 11 matches.
It’s been a case of too many draws for Martinez, with Leicester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Swansea City and most recently Sunderland taking a share of the points from the Toffees.
But with Ross Barkley approaching full fitness and the likes of Kevin Mirallas to come back into the side, there are still high hopes Everton can make another challenge for the top four.
Romelu Lukaku is yet to find his best form since completing a permanent move in the summer, although Samuel Eto’o is looking an inspired piece of business.
The front two were Martinez’s big name signings in the summer and reports suggest he could look to strengthen further in January, with a new central midfielder and a centre back considered priorities.
Here, we have gone through the rumours and identified five players we think will be on Everton’s January transfer wishlist.
