West Ham United supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern are still pinching themselves following their fantastic start to the 2014/15 season.
Sam Allardyce entered the new season as the manager perhaps under the most pressure, with the Hammers faithful having turned on him last season following what they perceived of a long spell of unattractive football at Upton Park.
The Hammers boss went into the transfer market in the summer and brought in what could be described as relatively unknown new signings.
However, the business conducted by Allardyce is looking like a master-stroke with every passing week, with the likes of Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho firing West Ham into the top four of the Premier League, with memorable victories over Liverpool and Manchester City having already delighted the home fans this season.
Of course, nobody expects the Hammers to finish in those Champions League places come the end of the season but the change in the style of play, the goals being scored and the points being won are worthy of the plaudits they are receiving.
And with Allardyce having seemingly won back the majority of the fan base, he is likely to be given further funds to strengthen this winter.
Here, we have identified five players we think the Hammers boss could be ttargetingonce that transfer window opens.
