Chilean sensation Alexis Sanchez is a wanted man for many of Europe’s elite clubs, most notably Manchester United. The Udinese winger showed his magic in the World Cup when he helped Chile to the last 16, eventually losing out to Brazil.
The 21-year old has been dubbed the new Cristiano Ronaldo after his £3million move from Cobreloa. His explosive pace and trickery will undoubtedly cause premier league full backs problems and at around £12million, he will prove to be an excellent addition to the Red Devils.
He is however a bit lightweight and his goal ratio of just 9 goals in 77 league games for Udinese shows he is not a clinical finisher but then again look at Ronaldo’s record when he first signed for United.
The South American star’s agent said: “Manchester United has been following the performances of Alexis since some time ago and it could be a possibility in the future. The Premier League would be a good destination for Alexis as he is young, strong and very fast, something very important for being able to have success in that league.”
Sanchez has the potential to be one of the best players in the world but in Ronaldo’s league? I’m not too sure. He needs to adapt a lot more to his game if he is going to be that good but he will definitely be better than Nani. He hasn’t stepped up as quickly as a lot of people expected and even though he has improved vastly, Sanchez has more class about him.
He is more versatile, he can play out wide, behind the striker and also he can play on the shoulder of the last defender…….so would he be a good player for them? I believe he’ll be a terrific signing, yes.
