Manchester United fans are on cloud nine here in the Football Transfer Tavern after beating Liverpool in the International Champions Cup and it seems that the Daily Mail are keen for their good mood to continue.
The publication claims that six of the fringe players in the squad are under the microscope from now until the end of the transfer window.
New Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal has made it very clear to Ed Woodward that he is willing to cut all the deadwood from the squad ahead of a vital campaign for the Old Trafford giants.
Nani, Anderson, Marouane Fellaini, Javier Hernandez, Wilfried Zaha and Shinji Kagawa are all on the list and it seems that one wrong step from any of the above could well seal their respective exit from the club.
As one of our punters notes, one thing is for sure.
Whilst van Gaal is willing to give players a chance, he is certainly not willing to be taken for a fool like his predecessor David Moyes, and will cut his squad down before the start of the season which kicks off on August 16th.
Manchester United fans. Out of the six players mentioned, which ones would you show the exit door to first? Let us know your thoughts below.
