Six Of The Best (Or Worst) Own Goals. Ever.

Professional footballers face many fears on a daily basis. If you don’t have a Ferrari lawn mower you could be ridiculed in the locker room. When you get your haircut, did you remember to get ‘mum’ (in arabic) shaved into your eyebrow? Potential pitfalls are everywhere.

On the pitch the poor loves often take their ‘eye off the ball’ aswell. When they do, it causes cringing from their own fans and gales of laughter from the other lot. Here’s 6 of the best. Worst ones… you get me? You do get me, don’t you?

Chris Brass – A brilliant two-touch finish!

Franck Queudrue – A spectacular effort!

Djimi Traore – Great turn, spawned the hit terrace remake of the Jackson 5 ‘Blame It On The Boogie’.

Jamie Carragher – Prolific in the top flight! But we’ve been easy on him here…

Frank Sinclair – Without doubt the most consistent performer when it comes to own goals!  Great commentary too.

Ashley Cole – Always nice to see!

Special mentions:

Wayne Hatswell – Cracking finish.

Gary Neville – Bit unfair on Neville, oh well.
