The Man Utd fans are still waiting patiently for Jose Mourinho to secure his first signing of the summer…
Fortunately for them, if Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol is anything to go by, they might not have much longer to wait. Rarely ever putting his opinion to stories, Solhekol has shown his hand this time around – and he seems to think that Man Utd are edging closer to their first signing of the summer. Taking to Twitter to discuss the matter, Solhekol has admitted that he is: “Expecting Alvaro Morata to be Manchester United’s first summer signing”.
Expecting Alvaro Morata to be Manchester United's first summer signing. Talks progressing well. Confidence deal can be done

Solhekol is, of course, well versed to discuss the matter, having spent much of the last week or two detailing developments on the matter.
The fans in the Transfer Tavern are certainly hoping that he is right in his opinion, with many already cracking out the champagne in celebration. The Red Devils desperately need improvement this summer, and Morata would be a fantastic place to start. He is a real favourite amongst the fans in the pub, with many pointing towards his fine record in La Liga as a reason to be excited about this deal.
Unfortunately for the Red Devils, though, their hard work will not stop anytime soon. Improvements are needed up and down the pitch at Old Trafford, and whilst any deal for Morata will be important – defensive and midfield improvements cannot be forgotten about.
