West Ham fans down at the bar are thrilled to finally see some transfer activity by their club.
After seeing two initial bids rejected by Stoke, the Hammers have agreed a deal for Marco Arnautovic for a reported £24m.
The Austrian who largely shone in an uninspiring season for the Potters is regarded by the landlord here in the Tavern, as a top signing for Slaven Bilic’s side.
Arnautovic, 28, scored seven and assisted five times in 35 games in all competitions last season.
With Ashley Young’s career at Manchester United fading out, some here in the Tavern have cited the winger as someone who can step up competition for places at the London Stadium.
Young is a seasoned international, has Champions League credentials and is a Premier League winner.
His experience at the top would be invaluable for West Ham.
The former Aston Villa man is one the longest serving players at Old Trafford after leaving the Midlands in 2011.
Hammers fans, we want to hear from you! Can you see Young reigniting his career with West Ham? Or is the former Engalnd man a lost cause? Let us know in the comments!
