The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been pleased by their club’s progress in the transfer market so far this summer, but they are desperate for the arrival of Fekir to be confirmed in the coming days.
With the signing of Fabinho secured and Naby Keita set to arrive at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp seems to be forming the basis of a formidable midfield line-up. However, recent reports have suggested that the German manager isn’t finished in the transfer market just yet, with Lyon’s Nabil Fekir a primary target for the club.
No official announcement has been made just yet, but the club did officially confirm that Ovie Ejaria has signed a contract extension with the club and moved to Rangers on a season-long loan deal.
The Times Northern Football Correspondent Paul Joyce confirmed the news via his Twitter account earlier today, which frustrated the majority of Liverpool supporters who are eagerly anticipating an announcement regarding either Fekir or Shaqiri.

It seems the Liverpool fans are already beginning to lose patience in their pursuit of a new attacking player, but the transfer window has consistently proven to be full of twists and turns, so they should not start counting their chickens over a deal for either Fekir or Shaqiri just yet.
Despite that, there were also plenty of Liverpool fans who were quick to praise the decision to send Ejaria out on loan and voice their support for the 20-year-old academy product ahead of his new challenge in Scottish football.
Here’s what the Liverpool fans have had to say in response to Paul Joyce’s Liverpool update on Twitter…

Good news. I like Ovie. I think he has something. Has strength, close control and a burst of pace. With the right development he could really be a player.

Totally agree. He has the smarts to make those late runs into the opposite box. Let's hope he develops as well as we think he can.
