The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern absolutely love this exclusive drone footage of their new stadium via the club’s Twitter account. The club has played their home games this season at Wembley as they await the opening of their new home next season, with just a few more months, work to do until Spurs play their first game at the ground in August.

The 2017/18 season has been a particularly tough one for Spurs fans. The club has effectively played the entire season away from home as they’ve inhabited Wembley Stadium for their home games, a venue that some of our local Lilywhites haven’t taken too as the club thought they would. Mauricio Pochettino’s side saw White Hart Lane off in fitting style, going unbeaten in the league at home throughout the entire 2016/17 season before it was demolished to make room for the new ground.
The Lane Finale now seems like years ago, and Spurs are itching to get back to a ground that they can call their own. Whilst Pochettino and co dug out some fantastic results at Wembley, having beaten Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool there, it will be a relief for the fans to get back to a home where they have a sense of identity. Pochettino will most likely be the man to lead them out in their first season in the new stadium, and if he can bring some silverware home in the stadium’s debut season he’ll win over his few remaining critics.
