It’s been a tough season for Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger, who missed out on the Champions League places after finishing fifth in the Premier League.
It’s left the line of Gunners fans here in the bar quite upset and despite their FA Cup success, the jury still remains out on whether Arsene Wenger is the man to take the club forward.
But he’ll be in-charge for sometime still though, especially having signed a two year contract extension earlier this week.
And if recent reports are anything to go by, Wenger could be in the market for a serious star this summer and that’s Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez.
The Algerian international hasn’t had his finest season to date but of course, he remains one of the biggest stars in the Premier League and with Wenger refusing to rule out a move for his services, could this be the signing that gets Arsenal fans behind him once more?
And as expected, Twitter has had plenty to say on the matter and this potential incoming seems to be a move that has split Gunners fans both here in the pub and online.
Many are excited about the potential signing but having shown poor signs of form throughout this campaign- is he the sort of player that can help Arsenal to the Premier League next season?
Well, here’s the best of the responses online…
Mahrez isn't worth 50m Yes a talent & could've demanded that when they were Champions but they are not now. Mediocre season so price lowers!

Leicester won't sell Mahrez to Arsenal. But if any other team went after him they'd sell without blinking

Pls don't sign mahrez
Should sign Mahrez tbh

mahrez would be a typical arsenal signing…great player when things are going well no sign of him when backs are to the wall

I think Riyad Mahrez is a proper Arsenal signing
there is just something about Mahrez I really like but I would probably prefer Lemar tbh, vote is close.
