Manchester United legend, Ole Gunnar Solskjaar, was appointed the caretaker manager on Wednesday with the January transfer window fast approaching.

Solskjaer will be looking to implement his style and philosophy on the club, not only through the coaching of his players but also via the transfer window.

As an overhaul at United is required, if a player if not up to standard or does not fit Solskjaer's ideologies, they could be out of the door over the course of next month.

With that being said, Solskjaer has no choice but to send this United DUO packing in January...

Marcos Rojo

Marcos Rojo has been limited in gametime this season, to say the least. Following his return from a knee injury at the start of the season, the Argentine was never able to stake back a regular place in the side, meaning he has just three appearances in all competitions coming from the last four games.

It is yet to be seen whether he is favoured under Solskjaer, but with United expected to sure up their defence with a new centre-back, along with current depth in that position, the 28-year-old could be moved on to make way for a fresh face at the heart of United's defence.

Matteo Darmian

Alike Rojo, Darmian has barely had a look in so far this season. The Italian has just four appearances in the Premier League, with three coming in the past five games.

His competition for the role is stern with Diogo Dalot impressing in his opportunities so far and club captain, Antonio Valencia, able to offer support for the 19-year-old and he can fill in when necessary, meaning Darmian is not really required and that in turn allows Dalot more gametime to develop his trade.
