But according to talkSPORT, Southampton fans will not be seeing any of Billy Sharp this season.
The 28-year-old striker has secured a return to Yorkshire with Championship outlet Leeds United.
Sharp signed for Saints in January 2012 after impressing at Doncaster Rovers however he struggled to force himself into their Premier League squad.
He spent time on loan with Reading and Nottingham Forest last season but it is believed that he was keen on a move to Leeds.
A statement on Southampton’s website read: “The club would like to thank Billy for his service, particularly during the promotion-winning season from the Championship where his late run of goals helped the team to a second-place finish.”
Sharp is expected to make his Elland Road debut against Middlesbrough this weekend and becomes the Whites’ sixth summer signing after the arrivals of Stuart Taylor, Marco Silvestri, Tommaso Bianchi, Gaetano Berardi and Nicky Ajose.
