We are in the last hour of the Transfer Deadline day and here at the Tavern our Landlord has been rushed off his feet.
It’s been a fairly quiet day for both Coventry and Southampton fans in the bar but theymay be glad to hear about this done deal, which works out well for both teams.
League One side Coventry City have completed the capture of Saints 22-year-old defender Jack Stevens until the end season, with the news being confirmed by Southampton’s official website.
Saints fans will know he will get a good footballing education at the League One club as they push for promotion into The Championship.
He has previously been on loan at Swindon Town and helped them reach the play-off final and earlier this season he was on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough.
Coventry are pleased to capture this young defender and hope he can at the very least guide them into the play-offs although automatic promotion is their aim.
Coventry fans have your say…..What do you make of this deadline day capture? Will he guide you from League One into the Championship? Are you happy with your clubs transfer activity this month? drop into the Tavern and leave your comments in the box below.
