Southampton fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are rejoicing after as recall all of their memories that their club captain has brought them over the years.
According to the Daily Echo, Kelvin Davis’ last game as a professional footballer will be his testimonial at St Mary’s as he looks to celebrate his ten years with Saints.
The testimonial will see Ronald Koeman’s men go head to head against some previous Saints stars from their days in the Football League, including Rickie Lambert.
The 39-year-old, who has made over 300 appearances for Saints, has been incredibly loyal to the south coast side during their administration days and now he is being rewarded by enjoying their exciting days in the Premier League.
Along with Lambert, more stars have been named to face Koeman’s men with Jack Cork, Radhi Jaidi, Dan Harding, Dean Hammond, Billy Sharp, Bartosz Bialkowski and Danny Butterfield confirmed, with many more to be announced.
