After a miserable start, where Southampton fell to a 3-0 defeat against Burnley on the season’s opening day, the Saints are now starting to find form.
The southerners host Bournemouth this evening in what looks set to be a challenging clash at St Mary’s, with their opponents coming into the game on the back of a hugely impressive 3-1 win over Everton last weekend.
They will be without last weekend’s match-winner, though, as Moussa Djenepo has picked up a muscle injury. However, some good news for the Saints is that Nathan Redmond could return from the sidelines, after missing the club’s last two games with an ankle injury sustained in the Carabao Cup victory over Fulham last month, per BBC Sport.
Saints fans would love it if their key midfielder returned for the Cherries visit this evening, with many of them buzzing with the sight of him back in training this week…
