Southampton failed to secure all three points at the Cardiff City Stadium yesterday as they were beaten 1-0 in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s first game in charge.
The Saints will be desperate to improve on things under new management as they still run the risk of suffering relegation to the Championship.
Although, it looks as if the Premier League club are eyeing a possible addition, as according to The Sunday People (09/12/ page 52) (via The 72), Southampton are interested in Aleksandar Prijovic.
Southampton are believed to be interested in PAOK striker Aleksandar Prijovic, but they could face competition from the likes of Crystal Palace and West Brom.
The Serbian international has been on absolute fire in the current campaign, having scored 12 goals in all competitions for Greek Super League side PAOK, which could see him earn a move to England in January.
Indeed, the Saints already have the likes of Manolo Gabbiadini, Shane Long, Charlie Austin and Danny Ings in their ranks, but they’ve all struggled to find the back of the net on a regular basis.
Southampton will be desperate to bring in some quality additions to help boost their survival push, as they continue to search for improvements under Raplh Hasenhuttl.
Prijovic could be the answer to their lack of goals this season as he currently has 12 in all competitions, which would go a long way at St Mary’s.
