Southampton summer signing Kevin Danso has started training with his new side, with it looking likely that he could feature for the Saints in their clash against Liverpool this weekend, via footballghana.com
The Austria U21 international – who is also eligible to represent both Ghana and England through his parents – joined the Premier League outfit from German side Augsburg on a season-long loan last Thursday.
The central defender could come in to shore up a far-from-convincing Southampton defence, which shipped three goals during their visit to Burnley in last Saturday’s Premier League curtain-raiser at Turf Moor.
The 20-year-old will surely be eager to get his Southampton career off the mark soon, as he looks to forge a potential permanent move to the south coast when his loan is completed next summer.
Danso began training with his new teammates on Tuesday – continuing yesterday and today – and could now feature against Jurgen Klopp’s recent UEFA Super Cup winners this Saturday.
Last season Danso managed a goal and assist from defence and established himself as a mainstay in the Bundesliga. At 6ft 3 he is a towering presence who will also look to play out from the back (highlighted by Get German Football News).
Danso is also adept to playing in central midfield, a position he played in during his time at MK Dons, something which the Bundesliga‘s official website spoke about in a profile piece.
