Southampton are thought to be in the market for a striker and are believed to be leading the race for their in-demand target.
According to Mike Keegan, who is a journalist for The Daily Mail, the Saints are favourites to land Danny Ings, although he has stressed that a fee had not yet been agreed.

Southampton are thought to be in competition with the likes of Newcastle United and Crystal Palace for the England international.
Ings is believed to want to leave Anfield this summer as he wants to get regular football under his belt and it appears that he may have fallen further down the pecking order at the club.
Liverpool are thought to want a fee in the region of £20million for their striker, according to a report by the London Evening Standard, but it would remain to be seen if Southampton will splash that amount on him.
Southampton will be looking to add firepower to their squad this season and Ings could be a solid addition.
The striker has proven he can be successful in the Premier League, however, his injury-hit time at Liverpool may have caused some doubts about the 25-year-old’s fitness.
It remains to be seen if Southampton will pay the value that the Reds want, or if they try and push a loan deal through with the 5pm deadline fast approaching.
