The Southampton fans in the Transfer Tavern have been getting their club’s 23-year-old midfielder, James Ward-Prowse as he urged the club to show togetherness and unity as they continue to fight for Premier League survival. Southampton were unlucky to lose 3-2 to Arsenal on Sunday in a game where they looked far better than an 18th placed Premier League team.

The Saints fans propping our bar up thought they were in for a huge point against Arsenal at the weekend when Charlie Austin equalised for the south coast club. Although Danny Welbeck soon popped up and scored his second and Arsenal’s third soon after to condemn Mark Hughes’ side to seven Premier League games without a win. The fans will be looking at the fixture list wondering where a win might come from as they face one of the toughest final six games of any side in the league.
James Ward-Prowse and co won’t give up yet though. The St Mary’s faithful are currently 18th and find themselves with just 28 points from 32 games although they’ve played one game less than 17th placed Crystal Palace, if the club are to win their game in hand it’ll mean they climb out of the relegation zone on goal difference. The icing on the cake for the Saints is that they have an FA Cup semi-final to look forward to at Wembley. The fans will be hoping they can transfer their cup form into the league as they look to avoid the drop and extend their stay in the top-flight.

If the team play as well as they did against Arsenal, albeit with more concentration at the back, we'll get there.
We have to do it soon mind. A must-win game against City on the final day isn't exactly an ideal scenario! Even if they have wrapped up the title.

Let's see how many of you stay with the club and fight back once you get relegated. I for one am fed up with the shite the players and club have been spouting all season. I don't think you care and if you do prove it.
