This is a move Southampton fans in the Football Transfer Tavern expected to see happen as it is widely considered the defender was out of contention to play Claude Puel’s first team.
According to the BBC, Coventry have signed Southampton defender Jordan Turnbull on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old has spent the last two seasons in the Football League whilst on loan at Swindon, where he has made 86 appearances in League One.
Despite coming through the ranks at Southampton, Turnbull was not able to break into the first team after failing to make a senior appearance for the South Coast club.
The former England Under 20 defender has become the second player to join Coventry in the space of six months, after they loaned Jack Stephens back in February.
