Southampton fans here in the Tavern are losing patience with their side, as another match flies by without securing the all important three points.
St Mary’s is laying witness to one of the poorest runs of form that the Saints have ever been a part of on the south coast, as Mauricio Pellegrino continues to drag the club into the depths of despair. Indeed, Wednesday night produced 1-1 draw at home to fellow relegation scrappers Brighton and Hove Albion, in a game that saw the Saints resume their normal lacklustre ways with a second-half equaliser saving the day. Currently sitting in the bottom three with the end of the season vastly approaching, failing to spend sufficient amounts of the Virgil Van Dijk deal on reinforcements may just hamper their progress.
However, one player who’s been trying to give his all to the cause is former Juventus player Mario Lemina, although he’s had to make do with giving moral support from the sidelines as their £13.5m-rated midfielder fails to get his own way with the Argentine. And, with all the recent controversy surrounding Southampton’s lack of intent to buy, and producing one of their worst starts to a Premier League season in history, Lemina took to his personal Twitter account to display his sorrow at the hole they currently find themselves in as he states that he’ll never give up on the cause.
I’m sorry guys that we weren’t able to get the win.. I feel your pain. I want you to know that I’ll never give up on fighting, believe me.

Following the post, fans were quick to praise the midfielder for his motivational words, as they hope to see him starting more games for the Saints for the remainder of the season.
So without further ado, here’s a look at exactly the sort of reaction that fans gave off on social media…
Such a great attitude, need you starting every match Mario

We need leaders with passion like you on the pitch not the bench. Need fight and courage now – just ignore Pellegrino's instructions!!

Please two foot Pellegrino in training

I can’t understand why you are not in the team, the fans are behind you as a team but have lost faith in the manager.

Can you tell the board to sack the manager then?!

Pellegrino is so odd. Signed you, then ignores you. Started Gabbiadini, now ignores. Kept picking Redmond, then ignored. Boufal plays well, then dropped. Austin ignored, then relied on. Long picked despite never scoring.
He's all over the place. 20th if he stays sadly.

Would actually help if Pellegrino played his best players like yourself. He is totally clueless and tactically inept
