According to The Mirror, Leicester City and Southampton are set to battle it out for Swansea City wide man Modou Barrow with our resident Foxes and Saints fans here in the Transfer Tavern looking forward to a battle in January.
Meanwhile, our Swans fans are worried this could set a particularly unhappy trend in the next coming months with their poor form a possible reason for their best players to leave in the near future.
Certainly, Barrow is one of their more impressive stars thanks to his powerful running down the flanks and with a reported £15m fee release clause in his contract he could be on the move very soon indeed.
The Gambian would be up against the likes of Marc Albrighton and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for the two different starting spots down the right for the respective sides but, at 24-years-old, he has plenty left to give for a prospective new team.
The Swans are currently threatened by relegation and are yet to win under Bob Bradley whilst Leicester City are not defending their title anywhere near as much as they’d have liked.
Southampton, meanwhile, are eleventh in the league and may be the most attractive opposition for Barrow.
