Southampton: Fans left devastated by late setback vs Arsenal

Southampton fans were left devastated once again as their side failed to pick up the points their performance deserved in a 2-2 draw at the Emirates.
After defending admirably but failing to pick up any points against Manchester City, there could be no better way to bounce back from the defeat to Everton than to grab three points against a struggling Arsenal side.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side made the perfect start too, grabbing an early goal through Danny Ings, but Alexandre Lacazette equalised just ten minutes later.
The visitors once again took the lead in the second half through James Ward-Prowse, only for Lacazette to fire home his second of the match in the 95th minute.
Unsurprisingly, the St. Mary’s faithful are running out of words to describe how gutting each match-day is at the moment, and the reactions to Lacazette’s late equaliser tell a harrowing story.
Take a look at the best Twitter reactions down below, where some fans are suggesting relegation is inevitable, and one even said they’d rather get ‘battered’ than fall at the final hurdle again…

Same old story dropping points from winning positions seems to be our speciality, well, other than losing.

Absolutely criminal the chances wasted in the last 10 mins to make it 3-1
